Within half an hours walk from Overwater Lodge there is the Sun Inn in Bassenthwaite village and the Snooty Fox and Mae’s Tearoom and Gallery in Uldale serving good food. Overwater Hall Hotel with its first class restaurant (serving coffee, light lunches, teas and dinners) is a two minute walk.

With an abundance of bird life, the occasional red squirrel and deer, Overwater lodge enjoys a truly tranquil location.
