White Moss is one of our 5 historic buildings designed by Augustus (AWN) Pugin to let on The Terrace in Windermere. The house sleeps up to 12 in 5 bedrooms and is a slightly different offering from our other houses on The Terrace.
Downstairs there’s a sumptuous lounge with seating for 15 people, the room has a wood burning stove and large flat screen TV. The dining room is quite regal,with large table seating 11. The room also has a wood burning stove. The kitchen is hand made solid pine, with 2 oven Aga and all the usual appliances. Opposite the kitchen is a utility room with washing machine and dryer, plus extra fridge and freezer space. It’s a great space for muddy boots and wet dogs. Finally there’s a down stairs toilet.
On the first floor there are 4 bedrooms. Bedroom 1 is a king size 4 poster. Bedroom 2 is a cosy single. Bedroom 3 is a  king size. Bedroom 4 is a twin with an extra day-bed. The house has been renovated in a boutique hotel style, whilst retaining the features which gave it its grade II listing.
On the ground floor there is a beautiful hand made kitchen with 4 oven Aga, it’s a fabulous space to cook up a gastronomic delight. Next door is a large utility room for those muddy boots and dogs and a very posh downstairs toilet. The large lounge has sumptuous leather Chesterfield sofas to seat up to 20 people in front of the fire. Perhaps Number One’s most special feature is a bar/dining room/party room. We’ve designed the space around get togethers, it has the capacity for the occupants of both number One and Two The terrace to dine together or if you’ve taken even more of our 5 houses on The Terrace you can push the tables back and use the room as your very own bar. There’s even a shuffleboard in the hallway for inter house tournaments.

The Vicarage Ref: LTP

Down a quiet leafy lane in beautiful countryside just 2 miles from the shores of Coniston Water , this very spacious and attractive, traditional Lakeland house is set in its own private garden. Built in 1767, it enjoys superb views over Lakeland fells, and has been carefully restored whilst retaining many original features to offer comfortably furnished and well equipped family accommodation. The famous town of Coniston, nestling in the Coniston range of mountains, is just 20 minutes’ drive away. The hamlet of Lowick has a cosy and friendly inn serving excellent food only 500 yards from The Vicarage, with many country inns and excellent restaurants in the surrounding area.
The market town of Ulverston (5 miles) offers a choice of shops, inns and restaurants, a championship golf course with superb views over Morecambe Bay, an excellent sports complex with swimming-pool and a Laurel and Hardy museum (Stan Laurel was born in the town). Many activities can be enjoyed in the immediate vicinity, including walking on fell, lakeside or mountain, sailing, wind-surfing and canoeing. The shores of Morecambe Bay are just 2½ miles away, where sea fishing is available. At the Grizedale Forest Enterprise Centre (4 miles), mountain bikes can be hired to cycle along the many forest trails which link the majority of the numerous stone and wood sculptures scattered among the trees. Kendal, the ‘Gateway to the Lakes’, is well worth a visit for its museums, art galleries and pretty cafés and tearooms.
