Why not start your island experience by exploring some of the Island's natural heritage. One of the island's most popular attractions, Needles Park is a great way to get a unique view of the world famous multi coloured cliffs, Needles Rock and Lighthouse. In the north of the island Osbourne House, Queen Victoria's family home, is probably the island's most visited attraction.

Historic churches and stunning architecture abound on every corner, from the only surviving windmill on the island, Bembridge Windmill which was built around 1700, to Carisbrooke Castle. The summer months bring internationally renowned music festivals and sporting events to the island along with a wide range of local festivals, agricultural shows and recognised town carnivals. Cowes Week welcomes the cream of the yachting world for seven days of racing that marks the highlight of the yachting year.

It's warmer than average climate and varied landscape means the Isle of Wight is one of the UK's best destinations for outdoor adventure. With its dramatic coastline and fierce tidal streams, the island plays host to the UK's ultimate sailing destination. You'll find lots of sailing schools and centres on the island and its coastline also provides superb conditions for windsurfing and kitesurfing.

It may be a haven for extreme sports but if you don't want an adrenalin fuelled break there are plenty more relaxing ways to while away your days. The diamond-shaped island's coastal path is 67 miles long, and from it you can enjoy the natural wonders of both coast and countryside. Occupy your time with tennis, golf, walking or bird and nature watching. The West Wight remains rugged and unspoilt and is a firm favourite with fossil hunters searching for links with the island's prehistoric past.

Commanding fine uninterrupted views over pasture land and the sea beyond, this attractive, family friendly, detached home provides an ideal holiday retreat. Tastefully furnished and decorated to a very high standard, Little Forelands offers every comfort to ensure a relaxing and enjoyable break, with feather pillows and duvets throughout the property, and feather cushions in the living room.
The large south-facing garden boasts a fenced outdoor heated swimming pool, grass tennis court, swings and table tennis. The property enjoys a light, spacious interior and is ideal for families with a small television room and large conservatory in addition to the attractive living room with open fire.
The nearest beach is approximately a 10-minute walk, and footpaths from the edge of the village lead down to Forelands Beach (an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty), and Culver Down, (a National Trust area), which is rich in wildlife and good for bird-watching. The village of Bembridge offers a host of small shops, Post Office, fine eateries, pubs, as well as a windmill, Bembridge Ledge, the Lifeboat Station, and Bembridge Harbour with sailing and fishing - where the fresh daily catch of crab and lobster can be enjoyed.
There are many interesting events and festivities throughout the year, and plenty of attractions around the island to be discovered. For the outdoor enthusiast there is golf, watersports, scenic walks, cycling and riding nearby; whilst Carisbrooke Castle, Osborne House and various National Trust homes and gardens can all be visited. Animal and wildlife centres, Shanklin Chine, Ventnor Botanical Gardens or Calbourne Mill are all within an easy drive. Shop and pub ½ mile.
