Malmesbury, 8 miles, is the oldest borough in England with its Norman Abbey and the beautiful Abbey House Gardens. The Roman city of Cirencester is 12 miles away, and there are many Roman remains in the surrounding area, including several Roman villas near the villages of Chedworth and Withington. The famous Cheltenham racecourse is 20 miles away and the magnificent city of Bath, famous for its hot springs, is 26 miles. Shop 2 miles and pub ¼ mile.
