Heath Barn Ref: NRK

Heath Barn is a period Cotswold stone detached property which has been converted in a contemporary, uncluttered style. It lies in a truly rural holiday location next to the adjacent farmhouse in a quiet setting at the end of a 1-mile shared farm track between Stow-on-the-Wold and Moreton-in-Marsh, 1 mile from the hamlet of Donnington. It stands in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, within a conservation region. There are wonderful walks around the owner’s 200-acre farm, including 80 acres of mature woodland and bridleways linking into footpaths from which guests can explore the local countryside and villages.
Heath Barn is 2 miles from the famous market town of Stow-on-the-Wold with its historic square, fine old pubs, galleries and interesting shops, and close to the villages of the ‘Slaughters’ and the ‘Swells’. Bourton-on-the-Water is a quintessentially English village through which the River Windrush flows between grassy banks, spanned by five stone bridges. Here visitors can enjoy The Model Village and Birdland, boasting many species of birds including flamingos, pelicans, penguins, cranes, storks, cassowary and waterfowl on the water habitat. Not to be missed either is a visit to the Cotswold Perfumery which began in the mid 1960s.
The area is rich in historic attractions such as Blenheim Palace, Warwick Castle, Broadway Tower, Burford with its Cotswold Wildlife Park, Chipping Campden, Sudeley Castle, Chedworth Roman Villa and the famous gardens of Hidcote Manor, Kiftsgate Gardens, Batsford Arboretum and Snowshill Lavender Farm. Shakespeare’s Stratford-upon-Avon is 18 miles away and Cheltenham Spa, with its famous racecourse, is 21 miles. Oxford, Bath and Cirencester are also easily reached. Local events include: opera at Longborough (summer only), theatre at Chipping Norton, Cornbury Festival and Cheltenham Festival. There is the popular Daylesford farmshop close at hand, which is well worth a visit. Shop 2 miles, pub and restaurant 1¼ miles in the village of Broadwell.
