Dulverton is the nearest town and has a very good selection of shops, restaurants and other amenities. During your stay, there are plenty of places to visit and things to do. The West Somerset Railway is worth a visit for those with an interest in steam engines. Fishing trips can be booked from Combe Martin and Ilfracombe. The villages of Lynton and Lynmouth, with its unique Cliff Railway, are a short drive. Only 8 miles from Woolacombe with its 3 miles of golden sand and Blue Flag status. Barnstaple is 10 miles away, with its famous pannier market in use every day, a tennis centre, leisure centre and many other amenities.
