The local area has two popular parks: Avon Heath Country Park and Moors Valley Country Park. The nearest traffic-free cycle paths are in Hurn Forest and Castleman Trail. There are many all over the New Forest National Park, where wild ponies roam freely among miles of heath land. There are also many other places of interest to visit within the area, such as the village of Burley, Exbury Gardens and Beaulieu Motor Museum. Regular ferries to the Isle of Wight depart from the famous royal yachting town of Lymington.
