The nearby Water Meadow Fishery offers coarse fishing and there is a rowing club that has a range of activities for visitors to enjoy.

The Britt Valley is a conservation area and is popular for walkers and hikers, offering wonderful views across the countryside and with options to suit both casual strollers and serious ramblers alike. Nearby Mapperton House, a grand, stately home that sits in immaculate gardens in one of the most beautiful areas of the valley, is well worth a visit.
