Nestled in the hillside, this magnificent building has the most amazing panoramic views of Skiddaw and the surrounding fells, from its elevated location on the edge of Thornthwaite village. Ladstock Hall was a very grand country house hotel, a renowned venue for weddings, it has now been converted into several apartments and cottages the standard of which is excellent.
No 7 is a split level apartment furnished and equipped throughout to appeal to the most discerning guests. Thornthwaite lies 3 miles to the west of Keswick at the foot of Whinlatter and close to Bassenthwaite Lake.
This area is great for mountain biking in Whinlatter Forest, and walking on the surrounding fells and sailing or fishing on the lake. There is a bridle way immediately behind Ladstock Hall where you can walk to Braithwaite, a little over half a mile, which has a village shop, restaurant and 2 pubs each serving good food and real ale.
The high ceilings in number 7 make for a lovely spacious living area, the comfy italian leather sofas and column radiators give it a special feel and the dining table overlooks the Skiddaw range.

Cooks House is a truly outstanding holiday home, offering unique and high quality accommodation. A detached period style property, dating back to the 17th Century, Cooks House is a most charming building both inside and out with numerous eye catching original features to include exposed stone walls and original oak beams. The house sits below the parking area and the walk down the narrow steps conjures up childhood memories of The Secret Garden and Hansel and Gretel as you wonder along through the pretty flower beds and mature trees and gaze upon the hidden cottage.
Inside the theme is very much based on quality. The owners have used John Lewis and Laura Ashley to furnish their home and have created and eclectic mix of traditional cottage style with a little European and contemporary influence. The results are splendid and ensure that holiday memories at Cook’s House will remain with our guests for many years to come.

This tranquil corner of Cumbria is one of the areas best kept secrets, known only to bird watchers and locals. Sonya’s Cottage lies just outside the village of Anthorn, overlooking the estuary in an ’Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’, on the Solway coast. There are several pubs within three or four miles which serve food and the historic City of Carlisle is a 20 minute drive.

Crakeld Holm enjoys a most picturesque location in the Eden Valley, which is on the eastern side of Cumbria, on the fringe of the Lake District. It nestles in an idyllic, scenic, rural setting overlooking the beautiful River Eden. It is renovated, furnished and presented to a high standard and is equipped with super-fast broadband with a wireless download speed in excess of 30Mb/s. The property was originally a sandstone bank barn dating from the 18th century but is now transformed into a fabulous detached four-bedroom house. Much of the original character has been retained, in particular the main entrance with its lovely sandstone archway which leads into the original upper hayloft. Surrounded by dramatic landscapes including Ullswater and the north eastern fells, it is also close to both the borders of Scotland and the Yorkshire Dales.
