Nestled close to the banks of Derwentwater and overlooked by Skiddaw, Keswick is a picturesque Lakeland town with plenty of outdoor and speciality shops, friendly cafés, pubs and restaurants. It's the ideal location for family holidays, being close to lots of amenities, and for great outdoor activity holidays.

There are a host of activities available from walking the magnificent fells to archery, abseiling, scrambling, climbing and canyoning. With several adventure centres in the vicinity you can try all these activities along with cycling, sailing and white water tubing.

For a more relaxing time you could choose a leisurely cruise across Derwentwater, or hire a rowing boat, explore the town's two parks or simply enjoy Keswick's lovely town centre.

Close by are the ancient Castlerigg Stone Circles and Keswick golf club. Trotters World of Animals is a great place to visit with the youngsters, there are more than 100 species to discover from anaconda to zebra and with keeper demonstrations throughout the day, there are plenty of opportunities to get up close to the animals and learn more about them.

If the weather takes a turn for the worst, there are plenty of indoor activities to keep you busy like the famous and intriguing Derwent Pencil Museum.

We are now offering leisure facilites at Keswick Pool and fitness suite which is only about seven minutes walk across the park from The Fells.

The Hollies is situated in what is believed to be the oldest part of Keswick and probably the quietest, yet is only a minutes walk from the town centre and its many amenities. The owners refurbished the apartment in 2008 to a very high standard and guests are sure to enjoy a most comfortable stay in peaceful surroundings, with the benefit of private parking and everything on the doorstep.

Uncle’s Cottage Ref: CC111372
Uncle’s Cottage is an ideal base for guests arriving on public transport, it is situated 200 yards from the bus stop in Keswick town centre. Shops, pubs and restaurants are literally on the doorstep and there are dozens of lovely walks directly from the town. The owners completely renovated and refurbished the cottage when they took possession from his Uncle (no prizes for guessing where the name came from). They have created a pleasant open plan living area on the ground floor, complete with kitchen. The first floor has been redesigned to improve the bedroom space, a new bathroom was fitted and the ceilings were raised to expose the roof beams.
