This 500-acre farm is set in an AONB, with walks from the door plus superb fell walking nearby. Keswick stands on the shores of Derwent Water and is an excellent base to explore delightful Borrowdale. In the town itself are many interesting shops, inns and restaurants, as well as a leisure pool. Cockermouth also has a swimming pool. Just 6 miles away Bassenthwaite Lake offers a variety of watersports. Enjoy Derwent Water, Crummock Water and Buttermere, surrounded by Lakeland’s dramatic scenery. There is tennis, riding and golf, as well as good fishing locally and excellent bird watching from the farm, as well as the chance to spot the occasional red squirrel and deer, whilst it is a short drive to Osprey Watch at Dodd Wood, Bassenthwaite. Snittlegarth Lodge 2 Ref: CC119129
This pine log cabin enjoys a secluded south facing position on Snittlegarth Farm, with views across open country to Binsey Fell. A haven for wildlife, as well as the farm animals.
