Alston is said to be England’s highest market town. Fishing, riding and golf nearby. Follow some of the local rambles or the Pennine Way. The glorious coast and countryside of Northumbria is within travelling distance, as are the Lake District, the Yorkshire Dales and the Scottish Borders. Water sports at Talkin and Keilder Water.
