Find cottages in St JustVisit St Just

St. Just is located in the far west of Cornwall, has spectacular views of Land's End and is the perfect base for exploring the wild coastal regions of the county.

Known as the first and last town in England, St Just lies within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, so stunning scenery is assured when you visit here. The town itself has pleasingly retained its quaint character, with the many historic cottages constructed of granite betraying St Just's past as a centre for mining.

Disused engine houses still litter the surrounding landscape, with the rugged coastline of Land's End providing a stunning backdrop. Just over two miles from St Just, visitors can enjoy the delights of the Geevor Tin Mine, now a fascinating museum dedicated to the mining history of the area. For those who don't mind a steep climb, the 138-year-old mine chimney stack on top of the coastal Cape Cornwall is well worth a visit.

Although its often busy, the centre of St Just is still ideal for a relaxing, peaceful stroll. The narrow streets are lined with local shops, galleries and cafes, with many of the town's buildings dating back over hundreds of years. St Just Church and the nearby pub, The King's Arms, can trace their history back to the 14th century. Whether exploring the surrounding areas by car or taking in the beautiful scenery by foot, St Just is an excellent base for enjoying this stunning part of Cornwall.
