Portreath's main tourist attraction is The Cornish Goldmines, built on the site of an old tin mine. There are various activities, from panning for gold to exploring the old mine. Near to Portreath is the Tehidy Country Park, a haven for nature lovers with 250 acres of woodland, lakes, nature trails and cycle paths to explore.

Cornwall is renowned for its fresh seafood and Portreath will not disappoint with its selection of cafes and restaurants.
