Find cottages in CamelfordVisit Camelford

Sitting on either side of the River Camel, the small town of Camelford is one of the highest in England, more than 700ft above sea level. Historically, the market town was an important crossing of the river on the route between the former county capital, Launceston, and Wadebridge and beyond to Falmouth.

At the heart of the county it's also at the heart of touring, walking, and other sporting pursuits. Just an hour from Exeter, Camelford is easily accessible, on the quieter north coast side. The town is just six miles inland, making it ideal for those seeking a more peaceful holiday, either just enjoying the spectacular views around the coast or exploring the rolling countryside.

To the east of Camelford, Bodmin Moor stretches out across much of the county. It is a great place for an active holiday (swimming, walking, cycling etc) or for those with an interest in history, there are many sites of interest and a great deal of myth and legend to satisfy even the most thirsty historical appetite.

There are many cottages in Camelford to choose from for short or long breaks. Choose one today and you are at the start of a wonderful break in the beautiful Cornish countryside.
