The beaches in and around Bude offer some of the finest surfing England has to offer, with lots of local surf schools offering lessons and advice, including the highly recommended Raven Surf School. There's no better way to explore than on two feet, and a cottage holiday in Bude give you the perfect opportunity to try many of the area's footpaths and bridleways close to front door. If you prefer to be out and about, nearby villages such as Boscastle, Port Isaac and Padstow invite you to take a step back in time and explore historic houses, museums and castles while just offshore, unspoilt Lundy Island is home to a fascinating array of wildlife including deer, seals, dolphins and rare birds.
