500 yards from beach

A short walk is Preston Sands, a great family beach, where you can sunbathe, swim or grab a fishing net and explore the rock pools at low tide. Along the back of the beach there’s a promenade lined with colourful beach huts, where you can hire one for the day. On the corner of a quiet cul-de-sac and main road, you will find a parade of shops, cafes and restaurants all on your doorstep. Paignton has a wide range of great activities for children of all ages, and the central green is home to a multiplex cinema, crazy golf and the pier with rides and amusements. The Paignton and Dartmouth Steam Railway departs from the centre of town, while Paignton Zoo is a mile or so from the centre. Living Coasts, Torquay’s award-winning coastal zoo, is home to a magnificent array of marine life from around the world and is set in a state of the art naturalistic environment.
