Just off the North Devon Coast lies Lundy Island and there are day trips leaving from Bideford and Ilfracombe during the season.
Other places to visit include Arlington Court, Marwood Gardens, Dartington Crystal glass factory and Tapley Park. Horse riding, quad biking and watersports are all available locally. Shop 21/2 miles.

High Lowscales Farm is a traditional Cumbrian hill farm situated in the south-western Lakes, between the beautiful countryside of the Whicham and Duddon Valleys. The Aquarium of the Lakes and steam boat cruises on Windermere are a 40-minute drive.
