Nestled in the tiny hamlet of Brigham, these former farm buildings date back to the 1700s and have been lovingly converted to provide wonderful holiday homes. All of the properties feature cosy underfloor heating as well as welcoming wood-burning stoves - ideal for those cooler evenings. Especially suitable for families with young children, the cottages have been individually decorated - each having been carefully designed. Outside, there are shared one-acre landscaped grounds to enjoy, with seating and barbecues for each cottage, which makes a perfect place for a summer picnic.
Ideal for families, as children and adults alike can enjoy farm life, gathering eggs for breakfast and feeding the friendly sheep, ponies, goats and guinea pigs on the children’s farm. For a different family day out, bikes are available to explore the stunning countryside on quiet, picturesque lanes. For older children there is shared use of a games room with a full-size snooker table and table tennis, whilst for the younger ones, a large sand pit, pedal tractors, trailers and diggers and various outdoor games are available. Within the locality there are also a number of golf courses, and riding stables are 10 miles away. Set alongside the Driffield Canal, it is the perfect location for those who enjoy ‘messing about on the river’, as there is a small jetty for those who wish to bring their own canoes or small boats.

Delightful York (30 miles) is always a pleasure to visit, with plenty to do and see for the whole family. The magnificent Minster dominates the city, which is full of quaint shops, restaurants and pubs. Together with the Jorvik Viking Centre and The National Railway Museum, this historic city makes for an entertaining day out.
For lovers of the outdoors, there are numerous walks for all standards incuding gentle strolls along the banks of the canal, coastal walks or taking in the magnificent scenery of the Yorkshire Wolds. Field House Ref: RK6

This excellent property stands detached amid its own enclosed gardens, in a peaceful setting in the attractive Shropshire village of Baschurch. Spacious rooms and a full range of leisure amenities make it an excellent choice for large family holidays or group gatherings whatever the season. Guests benefit from year-round use of an indoor heated swimming pool, games room (with pool table and darts), sauna and Jacuzzi available 2pm-7pm, as well as their own enclosed lawned garden complete with furniture and barbecue. Just 9 miles north west of historic Shrewsbury and close to the Welsh Borders, Field House stands in an ideal position for exploring and sightseeing within this lovely region. Oswestry boasts the legendary King Oswald’s Well, said to have curative powers, and nearby Wem has plenty of rustic pubs in which to sample the local ales; the 200-year-old ale brewing tradition can still be observed at Wem’s Hanby Ales brewery. Other notable attractions include Hawkston Historic Park and Follies, Wroxeter Roman City, Hodnet Hall Gardens and Attingham Park (NT). Go karting, paint balling and quad biking are available in the local area, depending on the season. Shops ¼ mile, pub 300 yards.
