Satterthwaite is an ideal base for an activity holiday, whatever your ability and fine walks or cycle rides can be had from Town End Barn to Grizedale Visitors Centre, just over a mile away. The busier resorts of Bowness and Windermere can be reached easily by car and a trip to the Aquarium at Lakeside is well worth a visit. And that all important village pub serving excellent bar meals? Just next door!
Ground Floor: Town End Barn has a wood burning stove, night storage heating and comprises:
Lounge: Traditional style with oak flooring, wood burning stove (initial fuel supplied), flat screen 26" TV with DVD and CD/radio. The owners have provided a good selection of books and games to enjoy on rainy days.
Kitchen/diner: Farmhouse style with slate floor, Belfast sink, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, traditional Aga and combination microwave.
Cloakroom: Providing ample storage for outdoor clothes and boots.
Utility room: With washing machine and tumble dryer and is also a great place for storing bikes and outdoor gear.
First Floor: An oak staircase leads to the first floor with many feature beams throughout (bend or bump!) and to:
Bedroom 1: With king size bed, antique furniture and fabulous views.
Bedroom 2: With double bed, single bed, TV and Playstation 2.

Access from here to a 2 acre field behind the house which is bordered by Force Beck. Small, enclosed cottage style garden with garden bench to the front. Off road parking for up to three cars. Due to the layout of the property we do not consider it suitable for toddlers although babies and older children would be welcome.
