An ideal base for discovering the delights of the south. Within easy reach are Chichester, Farnham, Guildford, Portsmouth, Winchester, Isle of Wight and London (about 1 hour by train). Numerous attractions to discover include Jane Austen’s 17th century house, Mid Hants steam railway, Selborne, Bird World, Uppark, Weald and Downland Open Air Museum and Hollycombe steam collection. Shop 400 yards, pub 3/4 mile.

Ground floor: Living room. Kitchen/breakfast area. 1 single bedroom (2ft 6in bed for child). Separate toilet. Steep stairs to first floor: 2 bedrooms: 1 double, 1 single. Bathroom with shower over bath and toilet.

  1. A pretty cottage set in a quiet position in woodland with good access to footpaths. Cottage is comfortable and warm. Pleasant walks into Liphook 2 miles away with shops and pubs. Good access to heathland around Haslemere and Devils Punchbowl and to chalkland around Selborne and the Hangers Way. Haslemere and Petersfield are good towns within easy driving distance. April 2012.

  4. I could not fault the accomodation in any way. We wanted a little piece of heaven, and found it at Yew Tree cottage. The wine on arrival was a lovely touch. June 2011.
  5. Pretty, cosy cottage set in wooded heathland. Walks & rides from the door. Great access to the chalkland around Selborne & Petersfield, and the heathland of Devils Punchbowl & Haslemere. April 2011.
  6. Although the photos of this cottage lead you to believe it is on its own and buried in the countryside, it does have neighbouring houses quite close by. The unmade road is very rough and parking for two cars is tight. However the cottage itself is superb and very cosy. Its location is ideal for dogs with its enclosed garden and miles of common land opposite. March 2011.

  11. The cottage location is perfect for getting around to many places, just as long as you have the car. The common land, which is just out side the front door is perfect for short walks. The cottage also has a enclosed garden, which is great when you have a dog. We loved it! Nov 2010.

  17. It was well placed for visiting lots of places. The cottage was well equipped and the garden was enclosed, this was important to us for the dogs.It was very comfortable and all our needs were catered for. March 2010.

  19. Back garden fenced-in totally which gave peace of mind with the dog. Good walks nearby and very friendly, helpful neighbours. Useful Post Office/shop across the road. Modern bathroom a blessing, plus access to additional heating when required. One drawback was coldness of kitchen & because outside paths not made up well it was difficult not to take dirt into the property - both front and back, especially in a period of bad weather such as we experienced. Entrance to garage area VERY narrow, muddy/icy & difficult at night - possibly a light down in that area would have been helpful. Dec 2009.
