Customer Comments

Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. Beautiful property, lovely setting, near enough to Wooler, but far enough to be peaceful. June 2012.
  2. Yearle Tower is a superb property in an idyllic location. The cottage is superbly equipped and very comfortable. The scenery is amazing and the wildlife plentiful. It provided everything that we could want in a holiday and with any luck it won’t be long before we are back there. Oct 2011.
  3. The property is lovely, fantastically well equipped and really fun to stay in. There is a lovely little garden which loads of birds visit and is good for the kids to play in. Really well located for reaching beaches, castles and towns, all fun to explore. Only thing that could have been better was the weather!! Could be more photos on website! Aug 2011.
  4. This is a great family cottage off the beaten track. Great accommodation, clean and well equipped. The owners were very kind and sent through detailed notes re the property and the surrounding area before hand. We had great days out - a boat trip to the Farne Islands, seal watching (best to go early and at low tide), Alnwick Castle, Craster, Holy Island, beautiful empty beaches and castles galore. Wooler, the local town, has all you need:- Co-op, deli, chemist, butchers etc. July 2011.
  5. A lightly quirky place with lots of stairs and quite characterful. Although in fairly close proximity to some other properties we had total privacy. The central heating was very efficient so we didn’t use the woodburner, but that would be lovely in mid winter! Excellent and powerful shower. Very well organised collections of leaflets for various places of interest - each put in it’s own folder according to district etc. We were provided with a free bottle of wine on arrival which was a lovely touch. Oct 2010.
  6. It was quirky but well laid out, generous bedrooms, very well equipped, comfortable and well located. Aug 2010.
  7. The accomodation was welcoming, spotless and a delight to stay at. The owners were very helpful. June 2010.
  8. The property is very well equipped and easy to lie in. it is extremely comfortable, clean and holmey. Mar 2010.
  9. Very spacious accommodation. Lots of space in the hall for boots, shoes, coats and it was nice and warm so everything dried out. Loved the wood burning stove, Loved the very comfy sofas. The kitchen was well equipped with proper sharp knives(very rare in a holiday cottage). The kitchen/dining area was a good size for family meals and the table was nice and big. The whole place was full of character. I liked the TV being in a cupboard so we could close the doors and not see it. Mar 2010.
  10. This is a lovely property, warm, welcoming and generally high quality furnishings and fittings. Especially impressed at the number of torches, lanterns in case of a power cut (none while we we there). Good selection of local information, books, dvds etc, and a well kept garden and out door area. First class! Oct 2009.
  11. First class accommodation. Excellent communication and care from owners. June 2009.
  12. Owner of property couldn’t have been more helpful, a splendid property. May 2009.
  13. Yearle Tower good base for exploring Northumberland - peaceful & rural (Wooler Common only a short walk) but Wooler only 3 miles away for shopping (Co-op stays open till late). Coast within half-hour drive - vast & largely deserted beaches, Seahouses (boat trips to Farne Islands), Bamburgh Castle, Holy Island (Lindisfarne castle & Priory). Lovely peaceful rural location; very tasteful & aesthetically pleasing conversion; very spacious but cosy & welcoming; we liked the "upside-down" arrangement with the bedrooms on ground floor & lounge at the top. July 2009.
  14. The accommodation was first-class. The ’upside-down’ layout really appealed to us. We particularly liked the sinks in the bedrooms! As regards to the location, quiet, beautiful and unspoilt but still with plenty to do. April 2009.
  15. Outstanding property in a very peaceful location. June 2008.
  16. Wonderful position for walking in the Cheviots. May 2008.
  17. Property was fantastic, we will definatly go back again. Oct 2007.
  18. The best accommodation of it’s type we have ever used. Perfect in every way and well worth the money. We have friends and family who will be booking holidays there. Sept 2007.
  19. We found this property to be extremely comfortable with a great layout. A true Home from Home experience. We were truely sad to leave and would certainly reccomend a stay here, espically if you are looking for all them little touchs, that make your holiday very special. Oct 2007.
  20. Probably the best holiday accommodation we have rented in the last 5-6 years. Aug 2007.
