  1. Our second holiday at Yaffles. Lovely quiet rural location with fantastic views. Cottage is very comfortable, cosy and clean. Owner left us tea, coffee, milk and biscuits, which was very thoughtful. Weather was mixed but we still had a great holiday. Hope to return soon. Sept 2012.
  2. We had a fantastic holiday bungalow was lovely and as for the views they were outstanding also on arrival we had a welcome pack and fresh flowers in every room which was a lovely touch. Aug 2012.
  3. Great holiday location and very relaxing environment, we enjoyed seeing trains go past and they didn’t detract from our enjoyment and relaxation. March 2012.
  4. This cottage was one of the best we have rented over the last five years, we got snowed in but were able to walk to the pub for meals and the local roads were nice for walking, definitely a rural cottage and very peaceful. Feb 2012.
  5. Excellent cottage and location, dogs loved the garden, one of them did try to get through the fence into the field. Will definately be going again. Nov 2011.
  6. Yaffles is a cosy bungalow set in beautiful countryside with stunning views over to Morecambe Bay and Kendal. The accommodation is comfortable and clean. With two showers it makes for a quick start to your day rather than having to spend time waiting for your turn in the bathroom! Although there is no dishwasher the view from the kitchen sink is fabulous and there is enough crockery etc. so that you do not need to wash up after every meal if you don’t want to. If the weather is kind it would be lovely to sit out on the front terrace and enjoy a drink taking in the views - unfortunately we were not so lucky but maybe another time. Oct 2011.
  7. Lovely peaceful rural location with fantastic views. Cottage had very spacious rooms and was well equipped. We were lucky to have great weather all week, which was exceptional for late September. Sept 2011.
  8. Set in lovely, peaceful location with wonderful views, but close enough for shops pubs and rest of the lakes. Would recommend this cottage everything thought of even milk tea and biscuits on arrival. Aug 2011.
  9. Picture perfect. The cottage & the location could not have been better. April 2011.
  10. There was everything imagineable, even toilet rolls and washing up liquid!! Feb 2011.
  11. The views were to die for. The cottage was really comfortable with lovely touches such as white bed linen and fresh flowers in all the rooms. Dec 2010.
  12. Fabulous and beautiful. Nov 2010.
  13. Lovely and roomy. Oct 2010.
  14. The views and the silence. Splendid isolation. The rooms were large and beautifully clean. You could not fault it. Will be back. Oct 2010.
  15. The property was spacious, in lovely surroundings, not overlooked and an ideal distance from the nearest town. Excellent cleanliness and nice added extras regarding what was happening in the area that night. Felt really welcome. Sept 2010.
  16. First impression on entry was the very pretty/cared for garden area and then the amazing views. Very spacious accommodation, flowers from the garden arranged in rooms. Just about everything you could require, including children’s toys/games was there to use. Good car parking space. Most important for us, was being able to bring our dogs. Very clean and comfortable accommodation. Well worth a return visit. Sept 2010.
  17. A wonderful location with views of the fells in one direction, the coast in another, with regular trains in the cutting (not noisy). Well proportioned rooms, plenty of games for children (we didn’t take any!) Worth a second visit any time. May 2010.
  18. Very clean and each room had fresh flowers. Bottle of milk was provided in fridge along with tea and coffee, that really helped as we arrived late and had no time to go shopping ourselves. Very thoughtful. Excellent attention to small details that made a big difference. We were very impressed. March 2010.
  19. The view was to die for! it was clean and very well equipped. Warm and comfortable, and the layout meant that we could keep the dog in the wooden floored area. We did not use the play station and games complete with cushions and private area, but what a lovely idea! Central situation and a nice walk just 1/4 of a mile away. Oct 2009.
  20. Lots of space, and flexibility. Attention to detail was Amazing. Had even left games [including PS2] for us to use. Flowers in all the rooms, just lovely. Oct 2009.
