Property Description

Known locally as the ‘ink pot’, this detached Welsh holiday cottage is constructed of stone under a slate roof, and dates back to the 1700s. Sympathetically restored, it offers a high standard of accommodation, boasting electric underfloor heating, two cosy wood-burning stoves, exposed beams, and sunny garden with views over fields and woods. Visitors are welcome to roam the 75-acre grounds and there are many interesting days out including rib rides and fishing trips on the Menai Strait, Beaumaris Castle and, of course, Snowdonia National Park. Attractions on Anglesey include stunning beaches, art galleries, and Plas Newydd, cycling and go-karting. The round Anglesey Coastal Path is under 1 mile. Shop 2 miles.

  2. We were very pleased with our stay in Y Potel Ink, everything we required including a large secure garden for our dog to play in. The owners are extreemly thoughtful and helpful. We made the stupid mistake of not reviewing our documents and assumed we had booked saturday to saturday. we should have left on the Friday, Mr and Mrs Lea Wilson were packing our belongings when we returned late friday morning, we were very embarrassed but they were so kind and understanding. Thank you. One of our best holidays. June 2012.
  3. Lovely accommodation in rural setting; safe enclosed garden. Lovely sandy beaches not too far away. Nice area if you are into walking or cycling; you definitely need a car. April 2012.
  4. The property was well located for walking the dog and it was quiet, even though it was close to the road. It was well located for Newborough beach and forest, which is a must to visit, and Beaumaris. The Menai bridge is also in close proximity. The property was well looked after and was very comfortable, although it could have done with a bit more seating for watching the television. On the whole, it was very comfortable and well worth the weekly tarriff and we would certainly stay there again. South Stack is well worth a visit if you like birds and wonderful views. Also Red Wharf Bay is worth visiting with a good restaurant, (The Boat House) which is open all day. March 2012.

If payment is not received in full on time, we can treat your booking as cancelled by you for a non-refundable reason. If this happens, you will be responsible for cancellation charges (as shown in our main brochure or our website) including any deferred Booking Fee, Personal Travel Insurance and Ferry crossings that you have chosen to buy, all of which must be paid immediately..
