The Kite Centre and Museum at Tregaron are nearby as well as the National Cycle Network Route 82. Folly Farm is a must for small children with an indoor 1960s funfair and lots of animals or visit the Cistercian monks at their abbey. Enjoy paintballing, golf, horse riding, or visit the ski slope, 1.5 hours away. Catch the train from Aberystwyth and hop on and off all the way up the Lleyn Peninsula. Trace your family tree at the National Library of Wales in Aberystwyth. Explore the Centre of Alternative Technology near Machynlleth. Post office and petrol station 6 miles. Customer Comments

Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. Most friendly and helpful owner. The property was of a very high standard including the soft furnishings and kitchen equipment. Sept 2012.
  2. Amazing location with great views, nice to be situated on a working farm (kids loved it). Cottage was fantastically modern with great facilities, very comfortable. April 2012.
  3. The property is remote, so it is extremely peaceful and the ideal get-away-from-it-all break. The owner is very friendly and helpful. This is a fantastic find - one of the best cottages we have stayed in. Red Kites circle the property and the views from the cottage are amazing. The accommodation is modern and well-equipped. There are 3 double bedrooms and internet connection at the property, although the details in the brochure and website do not state this. We had a fabulous time at Y Bwthyn and hope to return early in the new year. Thank you Tom and Gareth for your hospitality. Nov 2011.
  4. The views from this cottage were magnificent - a fantastic retreat! Oct 2011.
  5. The cottage was in a beautiful quiet location with fantastic views over the surrounding countryside, containing all we needed for a lovely relaxing holiday. Made all the more enjoyable by watching red kites flying daily around the property. There were also great walks within a short driving distance. Sept 2011.
  6. This was an amazing cottage, the quality of the facilities were truly fabulous. The description on the web site does not do it justice! There are red kites nesting in the field below the living room window and gave us a daily aerial display. The evenings were spent cosy around the log burning stove, and we were woken by the bleats of sheep, heaven on earth!! It is in a central location, so everything in Wales is within driving distance....I am recommending it to all my friends and colleagues. Aug 2011.
