Situated in the town of Brandon, close to the Suffolk/Norfolk border, this detached bungalow makes an ideal holiday base for exploring the Brecks and the Norfolk and Suffolk coasts; it is furnished and equipped to a good standard. Nearby places of interest include Oxburgh Hall (NT), Ely Cathedral, the historic towns of Thetford – home to the Dad’s Army Museum - Bury St Edmunds, Cambridge, Norwich and Newmarket, famous as the home of horse racing. Close by are Brandon Country Park and Thetford Forest, both offering a wealth of routes for cyclists and walkers. High Lodge Visitor Centre is also home to Go Ape, a very popular attraction for children (6+ years) and adults. Other attractions nearby include Banham Zoo, Bressingham Steam Experience and RSPB Lakenheath Fen. Rail Station within 2 miles. 2 Golf Courses within 6.5 miles. Shop 500 yards, pubs and restaurants 1 mile.

  1. We had a brilliant holiday at woodside. Everything you could need is there and everything is very well looked after. A great base for getting out and about in the local area. Oct 2012.
  2. Extremely well equipped property, with home comforts. (Even includes board games, puzzles, books, magazines, ideal for rainy days.) The garden is functional but compact. As it is based on a main road, you get a faint sound of traffic as there is great double glazing. Very welcoming with tea and cake, immaculate condition throughout. There is a RAF training ground close by, so you can hear them flying over the property. However you can go and visit the free viewing area. (They look like something out of Starwars.) Great for dogs or indoor cats, overall a lovely break away. April 2012.
  3. Woodside is a well looked after accommodation, extremely comfortable. The location is perfect for long walks in the country park & forest. Would highly recommend. Sept 2011.
  4. A very well-equipped and comfortable bungalow. Brandon is an excellent base for day-trips throughout East Anglia and the F15’s flying from nearby RAF Lakenheath were a real bonus. June 2011.
