Set in a quiet, rural location this spacious detached farmhouse is furnished in traditional French style with original tiled floors and beams throughout, just a short distance from the fishing port of Boulogne-sur-Mer.

The holiday home is ideally placed for visiting the market and pottery town of Desvres, whilst the sandy beaches of the Côte d’Opale are just a short drive away. There is table tennis at the property for guests’ use.

Shop 5km, café/bar and restaurant 3km, beach 15km.

Ground floor: Lounge/diner, kitchen, bathroom with shower over bath and basin (no toilet), separate toilet, 1 double bedroom plus double bed. First floor: 2 double bedrooms, 1 (with no door) plus single with en-suite bathroom with shower over bath, toilet and basin.

Electric heaters, initial 8kw power included in rent, remainder by meter reading at end of stay, bed linen and towels included in rent, 2 cots, highchair, digital colour TV (English channels), DVD player, CD player, washing machine, dishwasher, freezer, microwave, shared lawned garden, courtyard, garden furniture, barbecue, off road parking for 3 cars. One pet welcome. No smoking please. NB: Pond in garden.

  5. The cottage was beautiful. Just as the photos showed. The owners were very friendly. There was lots of info about the surrounding areas and shops (closing times too) and all in English!! Aug 2010.
  6. The property was very well equipped, with everything you could possibly need from a coffee machine to a blender! The rooms were all good sizes and each bedroom had plenty of space for your clothes. there were even a few toys, books and puzzles for us to use. We were greeted with fresh flowers on the table, a basket with fresh bread, jam, tea and coffee and the landlady gave us a lettuce from their garden. The landlord, was very welcoming, not at all intrusive even though he was there each night to tend to the garden and animals. Bernard also dealt with any problems we had immediately. He couldn’t have been nicer, kindly correcting our poor efforts to speak French, showing us round his grounds, bringing us produce from his garden and he even gave us a bag of apples from his orchard to take home with us. I cannot speak more highly of the man. We have already recommended the property to friends and family. And would have happily stayed there much longer than just a week. Sept 2009.
