Peaceful, riverside setting

A very spacious, comfortable and well furnished house in a tranquil setting with a relaxing outlook over the River Avon. In season, keen anglers can try coarse fishing from a platform partially over the river at the bottom of the garden. Here, ducks venture from the river into the garden, and occasional boats, and swans with their young, can be seen on the water. There is a good sized lawn and ample parking space at the front of the property, and is ideal for couples, family and friends. The patio runs the full length at the rear of the holiday property and the garden bank leads to the riverside footpath, which goes to the centre of Stratford (about 2 miles), with its churches, historic buildings, theatres, restaurants, shops and sports centre. Stratford racecourse is 1/2 mile from the house. Nearby is the Vale of Evesham and the Cotswolds with their delightful towns and villages, and Warwick with its magnificent castle and racecourse. Birmingham and Coventry are an easy drive away, as are the Malvern Hills. Anne Hathaway’s cottage at Shottery 1 mile. Post office and pub, 1 mile, shop 3/4 mile.

  1. Very easy to drive into centre of Stratford. Cottage was lovely with a garden going to the river it was very peaceful. Everything was provided and the place was extremely comfortable. March 2012.
  2. We were really pleased with this cottage. It was spacious and clean, though slightly dated decor. Our trip was in februrary and it was cold but we still found plenty to do. Visited the Cadbury factory and Warwick castle, both with Tesco days out vouchers! Also went into Stratford (40 minute walk along river bank if you fancy that) and to a local equine sanctuary. Kept all three generations happy. Cottage was lovely and warm to come home to at the end of each day. Would definitely recommend. Feb 2012.
  3. An amazing cottage, plenty of space for everyone, great location. Not too great for couples because mainly single beds. Lovely walk to Stratford along the river from the bottom of the garden, 30mins. Well equipped with everything we needed. Dec 2011.
  4. Spacious, well equipped and very suitable for a family staying and plenty of bathrooms. Surrounding area is very pleasant with only 2 miles to Stratford upon Avon but also access to many other areas of interest. Sept 2011.
  5. A lovely cottage in an ideal location. There is a lot of space for seven adults, but it is cosy enough to feel like a home. The fishing at the end of the garden was a real bonus, my father in law loves fishing and caught 2 very large 9lb chub plus smaller fish in our week there. Just one word of warning, remember to close the skylights if it is raining heavily at the wrong angle! In all a great relaxing holiday for all three generations! Aug 2011.
  6. Lovely spacious house, set in a beautiful location. Perfect for groups with children (although there is a rather large stream at the end of the garden to keep an eye on!). Great walk along an old railway track into Stratford. April 2011.
  7. Spacious, well appointed accommodation suitable for family and friends to get together for ages from teens upwards. Our party consisted of three generations from 18 to 84. Quiet riverside location makes it unsuitable for young children. A homely establishment to chill out! April 2011

  12. The best aspect of the property was its position next to the River Avon - even after it had rained prodigiously! The children loved making boats to float from the wooden staging next to the river. The views from the house were beautiful. The house itself was spacious and made us all want to be house detectives to decide when it was built and what had been added. Aug 2010.
