Customer Comments

Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. Make sure you have food in on a Sunday as the local pubs do not do evening meals and close early if empty. Sept 2012.
  2. Very spacious accommodation. Well equipped. Dec 2011.
  3. We used the cottage for a family Christmas and the accommodation was comfy and warm. However, toilet facilities need to be used with great care as this is a 16century cottage! Dec 2011.
  4. The property was fabulous, very homely and well presented inside with a great living space beyond that of bedrooms. It had a living room with fire place as well as a large kitchen and separate dining room, ideal for self catering. Sept 2010.
  5. Welcoming, felt homely. Aug 2010.
  6. The property is charming - very old worldy with a lovely garden if not suitable for tall adults and the village location is delightful as well. June 2010.
  7. Ticked all the boxes and had everything we needed - fully equipped kitchen, wahser/dryer etc. Mar 2010.
  8. we wish we could have moved the house back to our home town in Manchester! Feb 2010.
  9. Warm and spacious. Very attractive village setting. Good position for visiting e.g. Bath, Salisbury. Feb 2010.
  10. It was very quaint and cosy. They had provided all we needed for our stay. The layout was excellent. However the living room was made to look a lot larger in the photos than is actually is and it was quite a squeeze for nine people over the Xmas period. Other than that the cottage was lovely. Dec 2009.
  11. It was furnished with comfortable sofas and chairs. Had plenty of crockery and glassware, pleasant lighting, lovely garden and utility room. Oct 2009
  12. Lovely period building, warm even without the heating on, excellent arrival package (wine, biscuits & fresh flowers), fully equipped as your own home would be including tea, coffee, toilet rolls starter washing powder and dishwasher block and a small soap. Yummy local pub food (The Angel), very helpful and provisioned local village shop. Oct 2009.
  13. We all liked the whole layout of the property. The beds were very comfortable and the settees also. The dining room was very spacious with plenty of room to seat everybody if you were using it to its full numbers, although there were only six of us.A very enjoyable holiday all round. Sept 2009.
  14. Beautiful cottage in a lovely location. June 2009.
  15. The house was full of character, the location perfect and the owners went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Oct 2008.
  16. The pictures do not do the cottage justice! It is far larger than expected and felt so comfortable... The entire place was so well kitted out. I took 4 teenagers and a baby aged 4 months. We all felt so happy with the space and lacked nothing. The walls are covered with pictures painted by the owner and old books, games and novelties gave a really cosy, homely feel. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THIS COTTAGE! So much to do around the area.. We went to Bath, Salisbury, Centre Parcs, for walks, to the local pub (1st class! specialists in good steaks.) It was halloween and therefore we met all the neighbours - such lovely people. I’ve never done this sort of holiday before, usually go to the Carribean! But I can honestly say that my brood and I had the best holiday ever. Thank you! Oct 2008.
  17. We have been taking cottage holidays for 12 years and this has by far been the best accommodation. Sept 2008.
