Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. Gorgeous, very comfortable and stylish house a short walk from the centre of Whitby, and very close to the Abbey. The facilities in the house are great, excellent kitchen, all the bedrooms are good, great balcony views and easy parking. We loved this house and hope to come back soon. Thank you. March 2012.
  2. We have really enjoyed every aspect of our stay in Eljay. The owner was friendly and very efficient. The house was very thoughtfully appointed. It was very clean with soap in all the bathrooms and kitchen. There was also a good "starter pack" of items that previous guests had left. This meant that we were very happy to do the same when we left. Superb views from all the harbour facing windows and a very clever arrangement of the rooms including the garage. Thanks very much to you all for a very happy stay. This house was everything that our previous house was not. Feb 2012.
  3. Good place to stay great views over the river, loved the open plan lounge/dining/Kitchen great on morning, breakfast was quite a sociable event and the good thing is if you dont want to climb all those steps to the Abbey, if you turn left out of the House a path will bring you to the top of them. Feb 2012.
  4. Excellent accommodation, perfect for groups. Up a steep hill/steps but got us fit!! Ideal for the town centre. Nov 2011.
  5. Excellent accommodation with fantastic views over to the town and the train station, where you could watch the steam trains coming in and out, only a 10 minute walk down to the town centre bridge. Oct 2011.
  6. Great location - near shops, fabulous view. Very comfortable house with plenty of space. Well equipped. Access from harbour road up to the house is difficult with a pushchair - cobbled, steep path. Aug 2011.
  7. We were a party of 9 ages from 6 to 65 and we all thought the property excellent, it was very clean, all furnishings, beds, linen and kitchen items were of the best quality, the rooms were all light and airy, the views were excellent and it was only a very short walk to the centre of the town. We would recommend this property to anyone and we will be going again hopefully in the summer. Jan 2011.
