Customer Comments

Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. A very spacious and comfortable house. We stayed with another family and there was plenty of space. We enjoyed beautiful walks, Muncaster Castle, the steam railway and hardnott pass. We found great places to eat out. April 2012.
  2. Whingarth was very spacious and comfortable - more spacious than we had been expecting. There were 8 people in our party but, with 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, it never felt cramped. Furnishings are relatively new and very comfortable and we didn’t have any problems with the property. The property has been updated somewhat since the photographs were taken, so it was even nicer than we were expecting. Seascale is a very small, very quiet seaside town, quite far away from the major Lake District attractions. Windermere is a good hour’s drive away. That suited us fine as we were after a quiet, restful holiday, but it perhaps wouldn’t suit someone looking for an attraction-packed holiday. The beach at Seascale is very nice and deserted - if you get a nice day it’s almost like having your own private beach. On a good day, you can just about see the Isle of Man and Kirkcudbright from the property. There are relatively few properties big enough for a large group to stay in comfortably, so this was a great find and we’d certainly consider returning in the future. Aug 2011.
  3. Lovely property - photos dont do it justice. Dec 2010.
  4. Built in 1902, the house was superb. View of the sea. The property was unbelievably large, it took us several days to get used to all the rooms. I spoke to the plumber who told us some history about the property and I could have listened to him all week. This is an A1 property steeped in history. Good on you. Sept 2010.
  5. The property was a good size abd well appointed and stocked. It was ideal for two families to share. Aug 2010.
  6. Large rooms and 2 bathrooms, quiet location within travelling distance of attractions and shopping areas. Aug 2010.
  7. Brilliant size for 2 families sharing the accommodation. Lovely views of mountains on one side and the beach and sunsets the other. April 2010.
  8. All on one level. Great for two families to share. We had the best time ever. March 2010.
  9. Plenty of room, modernised but with still some original features. July 2009.
  10. The property exceeded our expectations in regards of the living space. The owners were very helpful and they had a good supply of information for the area plus games, puzzles, dvd’s and videos to keep everyone amused. Thoroughly recommend. April 2007.
  11. Accommodation was beautiful, very tidy and clean. Rooms were large and plenty of storage space for clothes. Excellent value for money and the views of the sea were lovely. Would recommend this accommodation to anyone. Sept 2007.
  12. It’s the fith or sixth time we’ve booked with your company, with friends or just my family. We’ve never been let down. Your website contains all the information that you need, it gives you a good idea of what to expect of your cottage etc. We’ll be booking with you again for certain! May 2008.
  13. we really enjoyed our stay here. excellent accomodation and a lovely part of the country to spend a holiday. July 2008.
