A perfect location to explore Cornwall and a short walk away from the coastal path. Set in shared grounds but with their own terraces, these properties have views across open countryside. St Agnes is a quaint coastal village with shops, sandy coves and beaches, stunning walks, beachside pubs serving home cooked food and locally brewed ales. The North Cornwall Coast is minutes away and Porthtowan with its sandy beach is close by, as is Perranporth, a traditional family resort with rock pools, sand dunes, beach bar, surf hire and golf. Newquay is a short drive and has a sea life centre, zoo and family attractions including Creally Adventure Park and Dairyland. Truro, Padstow, St Ives, Fowey, the Roseland Peninsula and Land’s End are all easily reached. Horse riding, cycling, sea fishing, boat trips and kayaking locally. Shop 21/2 miles, pub and restaurant 1/4 mile.

  10. Firstly i would like to say what a very warm welcome we got when we arrived. The property was more than expected very clean and tidy with good heating, each bedroom had there own shower, all mod cons in kitchen. Plenty of ground for dogs to run about in. Location was excellent for visiting all the coastal areas, The Victory pub was only a 5 min walk and had great food, very friendly atmosphere inside, also there was another 2/3 pubs within a 5 mins drive away also with good food. There is a small shop that is only 5 mins away which you can get supplies to keep you going until you get to a supermarket. I would highly recommend this place to anyone without hesitation. ALREADY PLANNING TO GO BACK. Oct 2011.

  12. Wheal Coates is in an ideal location for exploring Mid Cornwall, with Porthtowan Beach just a five minute drive away. The hosts were very friendly, entertaining and helpful. The facilities were excellent. Aug 2011.
  13. Wheal Coates is part of a recently converted stable block. Situated on the owners land, so the owners house is 100m away. It is about 5 mins drive to the nearest beach and 5 mins drive to the nearest village. We were welcomed by the owners when we arrived and were shown around the property, which was spotless. The owners had left a welcome pack including some yummy scones and cream and tea, coffee etc. The furniture was all new and very clean and comfortable. The beds were comfortable and the velux blinds upstairs meant that the rooms were pitch black at night and the kids slept really well! (Heard absolutely no noise at night either). There is a pond in the garden so they did need to be watched. We had a really lovely time and my husband is keen to visit again. This is a really lovely area to visit, and if there is rain there are lots of attractions around to visit. Aug 2011.
