A fabulous, detached, single-storey dwelling within the grounds of the owners’ home, very well kept with good size rooms and manicured lawns. The River Roden runs along the edge of the grounds with fishing rights. In a lovely village, this property is well placed for exploring Shropshire and walking and cycling the Mysterious Marshes. The historic town of Shrewsbury, 5 miles, has excellent shops, restaurants, museums and river boat trips. Ludlow, Acton Scott Museum, Ironbridge, the Long Mynd, golf, horse riding, plenty of castles and NT homes and gardens are close by. Pub and restaurant 1 mile.

All on ground floor: Living room. Dining room. Kitchen. 1 twin bedroom. Bathroom with shower over bath and toilet.

Gas central heating, electricity, bed linen and towels included. DVD. Electric cooker. Microwave. Washing machine. Tumble dryer. Dishwasher. Large, enclosed, lawned garden. Ample parking. No smoking. Friday to Friday. NB: Steps to garden. Unfenced river 250 yards.

  8. Wharf cottage is an excellent place to stay as its really quiet but handy to an excellent Pub - The Bulls Head - which is just down the road. Mick and Mary are really friendly and made sure we were well taken care of unobtrusively. The cottage was clean and cosy but with all mod cons. The place is really handy for Shrewsbury and has a great farm shop at Battle 1403. We couldnt fault the place, on the contrary, we booked again for next year!! June 2011.

  13. Situated in a quiet area, very well equipped, clean and comfortable. We were made to feel very welcome, the nearby pub provided excellent food and it was an easy drive to Shrewsbury. Aug 2010.
  14. Newly fitted out kitchen and accommodation in general. For two people with a small dog it is ideal. The rooms are spacious for a small cottage, the equipment very good and very extensive. Good parking facilties. The local pub is the best we have ever used for food quantity & quality. The owners were friendly and made us very welcome. Aug 2010.

If payment is not received in full on time, we can treat your booking as cancelled by you for a non-refundable reason. If this happens, you will be responsible for cancellation charges (as shown in our main brochure or our website) including any deferred Booking Fee, Personal Travel Insurance and Ferry crossings that you have chosen to buy, all of which must be paid immediately..
