This cosy, characterful holiday cottage is situated near a working farm yet surprisingly, on the edge of the city, and is the end one of a row of stone-built cottages with an enclosed sunny garden to the rear. With a bright, contemporary interior and a cosy woodburner, this charming property is perfect in any season. Convenient for buses into the city centre, 20 minutes, with its historic castle and Royal Mile, theatres, shops and restaurants. Shops, pubs and restaurant 500 yards.

Ground floor: Living room with double sofa bed/dining room/kitchen. 1 double bedroom (zip and link). Bathroom with shower over bath and toilet.

Woodburner in living room (initial fuel included). Gas central heating, gas, electricity, bed linen and towels included. High chair. Two Freeview TVs. DVD. Gas hob. Electric oven. Microwave. Washing machine. Fridge/freezer. Wi-fi. Enclosed garden with patio and furniture. Parking (1 car). Friday to Friday.

  3. The property was very clean and well equipped. We have a very warm welcome from the owner on our arrival. It is a 2 minute walk to the nearest bustop and the bus goes staright into the city. We loved it so much, we will definitely go back. May 2012.
  4. Excellent location - perfect to travel into the city by public transport and also perfectly located to get onto by-pass to travel to the coast and other parts. An oasis and hard to believe we were so close to the city. Thoroughly recommend city bus tours - 48 hour pass to include boat trip on the Firth of Forth a must - such good value and so interesting. Beautiful Abbey at Dunfermline, also recommend Tintallon Castle, Linlithgow and its Palace, Preston Mill in East Linton and North Berwick. I could go on but ...... Can you tell we enjoyed it? May 2012.

  8. A lovely, modern, clean property, very well situated for the city and surrounding areas. A very warm welcome from the owner and no problems, even the weather was glorious but we had no time to enjoy the lovely little garden as we were so busy out and about! Sept 2011.
  9. It is a great location with children as it’s very quiet and close to the bus stop, and I find the transport in Edinburgh excellent and there’s no need for a car. Aug 2011.
  10. A Hidden gem will be returning in the near future. Lots more to see in Edinbrugh. A beutiful historic city. I would recommend this cottage it has a very handy bus route to the city. June 2011.
  11. The little cottage was fantastically renovated, very quite location. Fully equipped with everything you would need. Close to good bus routes and shops and not too far away from areas to bike or walk if you wanted. Feb 2011.
