Property Description

In the heart of the famous, picturesque seaside resort of Lyme Regis, tucked away in the town’s quaintest and oldest lane, just a 5 minute walk from the sea, its sandy beach and the harbour setting, featured in the films ‘The French Lieutenant’s Woman’ and ‘Persuasion’. This pretty semi-detached holiday cottage, set close to the town centre is an excellent holiday home to enjoy the sandy beach, the spectacular views from the Cobb, fishing, boating, fossil hunting, swimming and scenic walks along the dramatic Jurassic Coast line and visit seaside resorts including Beer, Branscombe, Charmouth and Eype. Visit the historic houses and gardens of Mapperton House or the Swannery, Tropical Gardens at Abbotsbury, Pecorama, Seaton tramway and the Sidmouth Donkey Sanctuary. Shops, pubs and restaurants 50 yards.

Ground floor: Living room. Dining room/kitchen. First floor: 2 bedrooms: 1 double, 1 twin. Bathroom with toilet.

Open fire in living room (initial fuel included). Gas central heating, gas, electricity and bed linen included. Travel cot. TV (Freeview). DVD. CD. Gas cooker. Microwave. Washing machine. Small enclosed garden, patio, furniture. No smoking.

  12. Spacious accommodation and well equipped. Comfortable and quiet location. Worth noting for prospective renters the property is accessed via a steep hill up a pedestrian only passageway - no vehicle access. The car park is 5 minutes walk away (up another steeper hill!) but is safe, spacious and fairly inexpensive to use (£20 for the week on a season ticket) and allows overnight parking - certainly had no problems whilst we were there. June 2008.

  14. The cottage was situated in one of the prettiest streets in Lyme regis. Very well located for shops and beach. The cottage was very spacious and suited the needs of our family well. We will be returning next year! Oct 2008.
  15. The cottage was in excellent condition and the owners, and neighbours, were friendly, helpful and enthusiastic. The cottage was situated on the loch and had stunning views. We would go back anytime and recommend it to anyone wishing a traditional Scottish break. Oct 2008.

If payment is not received in full on time, we can treat your booking as cancelled by you for a non-refundable reason. If this happens, you will be responsible for cancellation charges (as shown in our main brochure or our website) including any deferred Booking Fee, Personal Travel Insurance and Ferry crossings that you have chosen to buy, all of which must be paid immediately..
