This west wing of a former mill owner’s home dates from the 18th century and stands in 16 acres of rolling, peaceful countryside with ample private parking for four cars and is just a short distance from the market town of Matlock. The quiet, rural location is the perfect base to tour the surrounding countryside of Derbyshire and the Peak District National Park with many delightful walks right from the door of the property.
With a stylish blend of old and new throughout, the ground floor the property has a cosy sitting room with oak beams and wood burner, a well equipped farmhouse kitchen, a reading relaxing area with sofa bed, a utility room and a cellar bathroom with Jacuzzi bath and separate shower. Upstairs there are 4 rooms - the spacious master bedroom with king size bed, a 2nd bedroom with double bed and the 3rd bedroom with 2 single beds. An upstairs shower room completes this restored property.
Outside visitors can enjoy the spacious open area with garden ponds and stream. Also exclusive use of a half acre paddock - ideal for kite flying and family ball games or just to relax away a quiet evening watching the sunset whilst enjoying a spot of alfresco dining. Just a short walk away is the Lumsdale Valley Heritage Site owned and maintained by the Arkwright Society. This is one of the best examples of a water powered archaeological site in Great Britain

All fuel for background heating, all power, bed linen and towels included. All logs and sticks provided. Travel cot and high chair on request. Welcome pack provided on arrival. Owner happy to take 3 dogs, however 1st two are free the third is at an additional charge of £20
 Extensive partially enclosed gardens with further field for games and children’s tent by prior arrangement direct with owner. BBQ and garden furniture. Parking for 4 cars.
