Just ½ mile from the A1, but completely out of sight, with the charming village of Belford (6 miles) with full amenities, and 9 miles from the historic town of Alnwick, Northumberland’s ducal town, with cobbled streets, weekly market, Playhouse Theatre, medieval castle used in Harry Potter with enchanting water gardens and a treehouse restaurant. Bamburgh, with its fine fortress towering over the village, is a short drive with a beautiful golden sandy beach. Nearby Seahouses, famous for fish and chips and friendly seaside atmosphere, has a small working fishing harbour where boat trips can be taken to The Farne Islands to visit the seals and puffins, or Craster famous for smoked kippers with its beautiful walk to Dunstanburgh Castle. A trip across the tidal causeway to Lindisfarne Holy Island, is a must, (check tides). Discover small friendly villages, vast unspoilt beaches and coastline in this AONB. Enjoy relaxing strolls or bike rides in the hills and valleys of the panoramic countryside, and there are golf courses locally. Shops and pub 3 miles.

  2. We all had a wonderful time the accommodation is in an ideal spot and is decorated beautifully but also cosy. We couldn’t have asked for better and the sun shone every day. March 2012.
  3. Farne View is top rate on accommodation and furnishings. It was however thin on utensils and other small utilitarian aids. It is illogical to have 31 mugs but only 4 cups, etc. Aug 2011.
  4. This was our second visit and the accommodation didnt let us down. It was very spacious and very well equipped, even had a utility room with a washing machine which was great. The kitchen was great, all 8 of us were able to comfortably sit round the table and eat. Thoroughly enjoyed the week and look forward to using the facilities again. Aug 2011.
