Customer Comments

Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. Despite not being mentioned in the list of facilities, Wagtails does have a 4 ring electric hob so don’t be fooled on that one. The location and surrounding area are truly beautiful & remote, and if you don’t mind narrow lanes are well worth exploring. Waking up to the howling of the wolves is something special, a memory to treasure. Nov 2012.
  2. Lovely, cosy cottage in an isolated situation. We heard and saw the wolves. Friendly, helpful owners close by. Fantastic for a complete change of pace from this busy world. We caught up on some DVDs we’d been promising ourselves we’d watch and we read each other ghost stories we’d written specially for our holiday.(It was Halloween, after all). We visited Bishop’s Castle, Clun and Ludlow. Oct 2012.
  3. Location of property very quiet and secluded, but should be aware access from main road is along 5 miles of single track with very few passing places. No towels are provided. Owners very friendly and helpful. Aug 2012.
  4. A lovely location with the added bonus of seeing and hearing the wolves most mornings. Facinating. Owners very friendly without being intrusive. Directions from bishops castle could be a little more detailed. Oct 2011.
  5. Beautiful location, wonderful hosts, great weather, perfection! April 2011.
  6. Superb cottage with everything you could want. The Cottage is well worth the drive up the track to get there and its immediate surroundings are so beautiful, a wild flower meadow outside the kitchen window and views to the mountains. Comfortable lounge seating, which is so important and very nice beds too. Lovely walks from the door. Loads to do in the surrounding area. May 2011.
  7. An absolutely delightful place that exactly matched the description on the web site. Lovely, hospitable owners. Oct 2010.
  8. Very peaceful location, we were very comfortable in Wagtails and would certainly go back there again. The wolves were an added bonus. Aug 2010.
  9. Owner and parterner now the job and are nice to guests. July 2010.
  10. Nice little cottage with great view, birds right outside the window. No midges! July 2010.
  11. It is a beautiful peaceful setting with abundant wildlife to watch. June 2010.
  12. Clean and cosy. Oct 2009.
  13. It was certainly different listening to the wolves in the evenings and mornings! June 2009.
  14. This is the ideal holiday if you are looking for total peace, quiet and relaxation. May 2008.
  15. Wonderful place for those who love wildlife. Very restful break. Aug 2008.
  16. No mobile phone signal, no television reception. We found that a bonus, but it is not totally clear from the brochure, because it mentions in the affirmative, that videos and dvd’s can be played. Sept 2007.
  17. The cottage, it’s location, the helpfulness of the owner all added to making our holiday perfect. Sept 2007.
  18. The owner was great, helpful in many ways. Oct 2007.
  19. We had a wonderful short break at Wagtails. The experience of hearing and seeing the beautiful wolves is a experience we will always treasure. Tony and his wife were very welcoming and made us feel like friends rather than guests. Will definitely return. Nov 2007.
  20. The accommodation and the welcome from the owner was as much a part of our holiday as the time touring the area. June 2007.
