Property Description

These beautifully appointed holiday apartments (refs 23771 and 23772) have been tastefully converted from a Victorian villa to incorporate modern features whilst retaining original period features. Upper Victoria Villa is bright and airy with high ceilings whilst Lower Victoria Villa is contemporary and fresh and their spacious living offers the perfect base to explore the island. Convenient for the town’s various shops, pubs and restaurants, 200 yards. The popular sandy beach is only a 10-15 minute walk, as well as the beautiful tropical walk within Shanklin Chine. The old part of the town is close by, with thatched tearooms, old country inns and gift shops. There is so much to do on this lovely island, including stunning coastal walks along Heritage coastline, fishing, sailing, bird watching, watersports, golf, cycling and riding. With entertainment for all ages, including NT properties and gardens, wildlife centres, castles, activity centres, adventure theme parks, museums, watermill and pottery and glass making, this is an ideal base for a holiday. Shop, pub and restaurant 200 yards.

All on ground floor: Living room with French doors/dining room/kitchen. 2 bedrooms: 1 double, 1 twin (one bed is 5ft 101/2in long). Bathroom with roll-top bath, shower cubicle and toilet.

Dishwasher. Enclosed courtyard with sitting-out area and furniture. Friday to Friday.

Both properties: Gas central heating, gas, electricity, bed linen and towels included. Cot and high chair on request. DVD. CD. Gas hob. Electric oven. Microwave. Washing machine. Freezer. Barbecue on request. On road parking. No smoking. Couples and family bookings only.

  15. The apartment is lovely and the thoughtful extras were well appreciated. It is well located in Shanklin - the beach and town are both within easy walking distance. I was slightly concerned about the lack of parking but the car park was only a few minutes walk away and the permit we were given could be used in car parks throughout the island so was very handy! I would highly recommend this apartment. June 2009.

  17. Shanklin is an excellent base from which to visit the island. Victoria Villas themselves are beautifully converted, and with all the desired facilities. We (family of two adults and a one year old) were most comfortable. Feb 2009.

The location was perfect, just around the corner from the shops and within a lovely walk to the beach. We really had a wonderful holiday and can’t wait to go back again. April 2008.
