Customer Comments

Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. A warm, cosy and very comfortable cottage. Very welcoming to return to after a day exploring the area. The welcome pack was excellent. Nov 2012.
  2. Excellent property in lovely grounds. Raising the microwave on a shelf would give extra work top space by the sink. May 2012.
  3. The accommodation was excellent. Beautifully situated - plenty of parking space for our 2 cars, so peaceful and private with wonderful views looking onto large lawns, with table and chairs. Owners who lived in the Old Vicarage were helpful without being intrusive. Co-op shop for newspapers, milk etc was only a mile away with a fish and chip shop and pub. Plenty of leaflets in the cottage to give you ideas for days out. Marvellous inventory of the whole cottage on the Internet. April 2012.
  4. Very well appointed cottage with welcoming helpful owners living next door. Large garden with lawn. March 2012.
  5. A converted barn in the grounds of a wonderful old rectory about three miles from Snrewsbury. It is well situated for a weeks worth of sight seeing. The property was in very good condition and clean. The welcome was friendly with a wonderful basket of goodies - a very nice surprise. Our girls enjoyed the large flat gardens to run around in and in the summer I would imagine we would have spent all afternoon and evening outside. The only feed back I would give is that a pair of twin beds in one of the rooms would have been a better design for us. Overall excellent. March 2012.
  6. For over 10 years now we’ve booked various ’converted buildings’ for the Xmas week and have concluded that the owners of Vicarage Cottage go the extra mile! With a good class welcome hamper, fresh flowers, toiletries and a never ending free supply of firewood it outshines the others (and in more ways than one - the place is spotless!) If you book this cottage you’ll not be dissapointed - the extremely pleasant owners have thought of everything... Dec 2011.
  7. Generously appointed and comfortable. We felt genuinely welcome. Whilst feeling as though it is ’in the middle of nowhere’, the furthest we drove to a visitor attraction was 45 minutes to Powys Castle (well worth a visit), and good-sized towns with all the usual facilities are an easy drive. Oct 2011.
  8. Set in traditional "Miss Marple" setting, quiet even with the gentle chimes of the church clock. Substantial "welcome" basket provided for afternoon tea on the lawn to complete the "vicarage" feel. June 2011.
  9. Very helpful, but unobtrusive owners. The cottage was well equipped and comfortable. We appreciated the lovely welcome pack. Ideally situated for visiting Shrewsbury. We would definitely stay here again. April 2011.
  10. Excellent, superbly equipped cottage with very helpful owners living at the adjacent house. Our second visit. April 2011.
  11. Nice and warm in the very cold weather. Extremely welcoming including Christmas tree and trimmings plus generous welcome hamper. Dec 2010.
  12. Beautifully presented with a very very generous welcome pack. The property was sparkling clean with the three bathrooms looking as if we were the first people to ever use them. Very nicely furnished. Sept 2010.
  13. The property was very well furnished with good quality furnishings (home from home rather than a rental). The owners were on site and did not mind if you approached them. They were very thoughtful and helpful. Nice touches, flowers, liquid soap, loo rolls etc also lovely welcome pack (bread, cakes jam, tea, coffee milk etc). Lovely surroundings. July 2010.
  14. Very clean and well appointed. April 2010.
  15. A lovely cottage, very well furnished and owned by charming and helpful people. The cottage is very private, in an "out of the way location" which is just what we were looking for. March 2010.
  16. Well equipped - having all the bedrooms en suite was a definite plus especially as we were a mixed party with a small child. The property was beautifully situated with total privacy. The owner was welcoming and helpful. Feb 2010.
  17. Lovely cottage with beautiful furnishings. Liked the little touches such as shower gel, hand cream in the bathrooms and a welcome pack of super goodies. It was so easy having all the bedrooms ensuite. The kitchen was very well equipped. There was a cosy log fire with free logs that appeared each day in a box outside the back door. The cottage was so near Shrewsbury that shopping was easy - we did lots of Christmas shopping and another day we really enjoyed going around the various museums in Ironbridge. Nov 2009.
  18. We have stayed in many holiday cottages and this was probably the cleanest, neatest and prettiest. Three showers etc is a real luxury and a boon with 2 children. Most impressed. Oct 2009.
  19. Very well equipped, clean and comfortable. Beautiful setting in grounds of old vicarage. Owners very friendly and helpful. Nice welcome pack - no need to go shopping on arrival. Certainly one of the best cottages we have rented. Will definitely return. Sept 2009.
  20. Ideal for four people, also for someone with some disability. Liked the shower units. July 2009.
