This traditional Welsh farmhouse has been converted into a spacious detached holiday property, in a tranquil setting with panoramic views of the Cambrian Mountains and its own private fishing lake (fishing licence required). This is an ideal location for walkers, bird-watchers and cyclists and close to the River Teifi, renowned for its salmon fishing. The large proportions of Tyn Cornel make it suitable for larger groups and families, and the master suite boasts a balcony which enjoys the unspoilt views. Boasting character and all the comforts and facilities, this property is ideal for the perfect countryside getaway. Explore the mountains, stroll by the seaside, visit the narrow gauge railway and historic castle at Aberystwyth, 16 miles, or Aberaeron with its picturesque harbour is 17 miles. Visit the old market town of Machynlleth with its Centre for Alternative Technology, or Corris with a craft centre and King Arthur’s Labyrinth. The historic market town of Tregaron is 2 miles away with shops, pubs and restaurants. Alternatively there are plenty of modern day attractions a short drive away such as water parks, adventure parks, farm parks, paintball, quad biking, go-karting, surfing, sailing, adrenalin boat trips and even a ski slope! Whether visitors need a quiet relaxing holiday - walking, taking in the country air and eating locally produced nutritious food (there are great farm and local produce shops) - or a good base from which to explore all of Wales due to its excellent central location, Tyn Cornel offers excellent comfort all year round.   7. We met as a group of friends at Tyn Cornel for the weekend. The Farmhouse exceeded our expectations and was set in beautiful surroundings. The house was very clean yet homely and welcoming. We all enjoyed a thoroughly restful weekend together and would strongly recommend it as a lovely place to stay. May 2011.

Everything great in cottage, the only down side was that the grass in the field was too long ,and it was difficult to get down to the lake and for the children to have space for football etc. Kept losing the ball, and as it had been raining we got wet up to our knees because of this. A good house for family reunions. June 2011.
  9. This house is just brilliant. Be aware that there are only 4 bedrooms so ideally only suited to 8 adults - but if you have loads of kids there is plenty of space. The house has absolutely everything you need and the dining room table is just marvellous for a big party!! April 2011.
  10. Tyn Cornel cottage was a delight to stay in for our weekend getaway. Everything was of a very high standard, very clean and full of all the home comforts you could ask for. The grounds and back drop of the cottage were breath taking. The owners were very welcoming and on hand to help at all times. Superb! March 2011.
