A wealth of lovely countryside is within half an hour’s drive, including Lakes Vyrnwy and Bala, Powis Castle and the unspoilt Berwyn range, as well as golf courses, mountain biking, climbing, fishing, sailing and riding. Stabling for two horses available. Shops and pub 1½ miles.

  2. Although the weather was wet we had a wonderful and relaxing holiday in this exceptional cottage. The location is beautiful and the design of Ty Rhyd makes the best of it, with south-facing well designed seating above the river and stunning views from most rooms. It was a joy to go to bed and lie in comfort, listening to the sound of the river at night. Despite the weather we walked, cycled and kayaked - and spent a day cooking in the well-equipped kitchen!   8. A beautiful cottage in an interesting part of North Wales. Very nicely done out inside - possibly the best I have ever seen - open plan and lots of beams and space. Very friendly owners in the farm next door - helpful but not intrusive. It is quite a way from the highlights of Snowdonia, but there are some interesting places nearby. Highly recommended. Aug 2011.

  10. Lovely cottage in wonderful, peaceful location.Many nice features including lovely welcome pack. Mainly very clean & well kept - except the oven which needed a complete overhall. The suite is in need of replacing now too. April 2011.
  11. Ty Rhyd (house of the ford) sits in a magnificent location, next to stream in a quiet corner of North West Wales. The house is ample, cosy and contains all the necesary appliances one may need. It was easy to cook or BBQ, watch tv, sit on the sofa or carpets, play board games, etc. Internet conenction was fast, though a wireless router would have been more useful than a single cable line. The farm in which Ty Rhyd sits is also lovely and offers many opportunities for walks. May 2011.

  16. The property was in a beautiful location with an pretty stream runing along side. The cottage was built with attractive oak timber. The owners were very friendly and had left wine, tea, coffee, eggs and delicious flapjacks to welcome us. All in all brilliant!! Thanks. April 2010.
  17. The accommodation looked exactly like the photographs, and matched the description so there were no surprises, which is reassuring. The cottage was very well stocked, everything was good quality, the beds were excellent and the shower, heating, hot water etc were easy to use and accessible. For us the access to 100 acres of farmland plus the feeling of having our own private space around the cottage made the holiday wonderful. The river was great fun for everyone. Patio furniture could be better for this type of holiday cottage. Highly recommended a place to stay to explore or just relax and get away from things. June 2009.
