Ideally positioned for exploring the beautiful Suffolk Heritage Coast, this detached holiday property is adjacent to the owners’ home, on an arable farm, and boasts beams and wooden floors. It is situated midway between the market towns of Beccles, Bungay and Halesworth with golf, swimming pools and a selection of shops and restaurants. The popular seaside town of Southwold (10 miles) and the RSPB reserve at Minsmere (12 miles). Alternatively, visitors can spend a day in Norwich city (22 miles), with shopping, theatre, castle and famous cathedral. Shop/P.O. 5 miles, pub 2 miles.

  2. Our first visit to Norfolk/Suffolk, and we really enjoyed it. We came for a wedding and decided that rather than book an hotel - we’d go self-catering for the week, and explore the east coast. We loved Southwold (10 miles), and I got to go inside a real windmill at Horsey. Tumbril Halt was a perfect place to stay. Our son and his partner had the "loft room" with en-suite and thought it was great! June 2012.
  3. An EXCELLENT property, of the highest quality.Beautifully presented and well equipped. The sign for the property was a little far back from the road so we missed it the first time round!! Could be nearer the entrance, perhaps? The house was beautifully furnished and the bathrooms & kitchen were of a very high spec. One query however, I wonder why the duvets on the beds were filled with sythentic materials and not down/feather? It made the excellent beds not as comfortable as they may have been. However, that was a small personal preference. Overall a very superior property. The owner was very helpful when there was an issue with the heating. Lovely flowers, when we arrived, wine and milk in the fridge. Well done all concerned. April 2012.

  16. A quiet country location with easy access to Beccles, Bungay and Halesworth. Ideally situated for visiting surrounding visitor attractions with no great distances to most places. Car essential. Good shopping facilities in Beccles but poor mobile phone reception due to secluded position. If you like it peaceful this is the place. May 2010.
