Customer Comments

Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. Located 5 minutes from centre which has all the facilities to hand: Pubs, Eateries, Shops, Supermarkets, Banks etc. Excellent base for both York’s dales, moors and coast. York, Harrogate and Thirsk close by. May 2012.
  2. The cottage is spacious and in an excellent location. The village is fabulous with great shops, Tea rooms, pubs and restaurants etc all five minutes from the house. Cottage itself has all you could need but is a little tired and although generally clean it wasn’t spotless. March 2012.
  3. Lovely property, excellant base for discovering York, the moors and surrounding coastal resorts. May 2011.
  4. Spacious and clean rooms. Very warm and comfortable. It had all we needed. Oct 2010.
  5. It felt a place of history. Lovely relaxing place. The Log fire was wonderful, warm and cosy. Feb 2010.
  6. Plenty of space and character in an attractive setting. Dec 2009.
  7. Excellent location for touring the Moors, Dales, York and the seaside. July 2009.
  8. Lovely position in one of the most beautiful villages in the country, atmospheric house, secret garden. Plus the owner is the local butcher and his fillet steaks are the best. July 2009.
  9. The owner was very helpful, while also leaving us in peace, and made us welcome with a bottle of wine, special biscuits, milk and tea. The cottage is really well positioned and it was a very easy walk to the shops and the centre of Easingwold. It was a comfortable, homely place to stay with plenty of space. Having two televisions was useful with our varied age-groups with different interests and it was useful having two showers and a bathroom. We enjoyed having a separate dining room and also a good table and benches to eat outside when we liked. The bedrooms were of a good size and the beds were comfortable. Aug 2009.
  10. Property is very clean with good quality furniture. It is in an area that has everything you want e.g. newsagent, grocery store, pubs, takeaways, bank, salon etc. Just a short drive away from York. Jan 2007.
