Property Description

This cosy former tin miners cottage sits alongside an unmade track that leads to the coastal path, Port Isaac and beyond. This semi-detached holiday cottage is surrounded by unspoilt countryside with views from the double bedroom to the sea. There are many sandy beaches including Daymer Bay, Rock and Polzeath within easy reach. Port Isaac can either be reached on foot or by car and is approximately 2 miles. Tintagel, Boscastle, Padstow, Bodmin Moor and the Eden Project can all be easily reached. Shops 2 miles, pub 100 yards.

Ground floor: Living room with beams. Dining room with French doors/conservatory/kitchen with laminate floor. Bathroom with shower over bath and toilet. Open tread stairs to first floor: 2 bedrooms: 1 double, 1 twin.

Woodburner in living room (initial fuel included). NSH, electricity, bed linen and towels included. DVD. CD. Electric cooker. Microwave. Washing machine. Fridge/freezer. Small enclosed, lawned garden with patio and furniture. Parking (2 cars).

  1. We loved the cottage and the wood burning stove made it very cosy in the evenings. The garden was totally enclosed which great for our dog and there was walking straight from the door down to Port Gaverne and Port Isaac so you could leave the car. April 2012.

  3. A good quiet little spot to spend a relaxing weekend visiting the beautiful scenery of the area and the Ravenglass-Eskdale steam railway. The location on a beef farm only added to the interest of the visit. April 2011.
  4. A good base for the North Cornwall coast, the Cornish Arms, almost next door, was an unpretentious inn with good food. We were pleasantly surprised at how quiet it was in the evening in the cottage as it was so close to the carpark. April 2011.
  5. A very comfortable down to earth property not too far from port Isaac but not close enough to walk. We really enjoyed our stay it was just what we needed! April 2011.

  9. The property was ideally situated in a quiet hamlet and right for the two of us, just down a private road from the pub which served well kept beer and also good food to eat in or take away. There was also a walk across fields and wood to Port Gaverne which served excellent freshly caught crab salad for lunch. Sept 2009

  11. Although the cottage was 300 years old it had been very tastefully modernised with a lovely light conservatory. Lots of lovely pictures. And a nice little garden. Very close to the pub too. July 2009.

  13. The cottage we stayed in was very nicely situated to explore a lot of Cornwall, it was very well maintained with all the facilities we needed for a self catering holiday. The parking was of some concern before we left, as the local pub car park was the allocated space, but on arrival we discovered it is perfectly located to the front of the cottage with only a driveway between them. All in all a nice peaceful cottage that was very much enjoyed. A trip to Boscastle is a must and the walk to Port Issac from the cottage is well worth it although quite a challenge in the rain (read the owners notes in the folder before you set off). July 2009.

  15. This is a lovely warm friendly cottage we enjoyed our stay very much and the Cornishmans Arms just along the lane is very friendly and does very good food. Sept 2008.
  16. The accommodation was very welcoming, with everything to hand. The best self-catering cottage we have stayed in - the children loved it. We were very fortunate to benefit from the added extras such as wetsuits - with very mixed weather these were a blessing! We would stay there again. June 2008.
