1. These terms and conditions should be read with the Booking Conditions and insurance information in our brochures or on our website. Especially note Sections 2, 4 and 7 of the Booking Conditions
2. Offer applies only to bookings for 2014 which are booked before 13th April 2014.
3. The low deposit payable under this offer is £25.
4. Does not apply to properties that sleep 10 or more.
5. The difference between the £25 low  deposit and the usual deposit shown in our main brochure or website is payable with the balance payment, which we must receive no later than 10 weeks before your booking starts, or at the time of cancellation if you cancel your booking. This payment will include all applicable charges as detailed on your booking confirmation, including any insurance premiums and any Ferry costs. If payment is not received in full on time, we can treat your booking as cancelled by you for a non-refundable reason. If this happens, you will be responsible for cancellation charges (as shown in our main brochure or our website) including any deferred Booking Fee, Personal Travel Insurance and Ferry crossings that you have chosen to buy, all of which must be paid immediately.

Property Description

Located on the edge of the Somerset village of Priddy, between Cheddar and Wells close to Cheddar Gorge in the heart of the Mendip Hills, AONB, this detached holiday cottage offers a large stone fireplace with woodburner, a second living room with dining area and a range cooker in the kitchen, ensuring a homely atmosphere. Stabling and the use of a paddock is available by prior arrangement with the owner. Shop 20 yards, farm shop 200 yards, pub and restaurant 500 yards.

Ground floor: Living room with sofa bed. Second living/dining room. Kitchen with breakfast area. First floor: 2 double (5ft) bedrooms (one zip and link, can be twin). Bathroom with shower over bath and toilet.

Woodburner in living room (initial fuel inc). Oil CH, oil and elec (£25pw, £15 per 4 night short break, £10 per 3 night short break). Bed linen and towels inc. Freeview TV. DVD. Oil range cooker. W/machine. F/freezer. Wi-fi. Enclosed lawned garden. Sitting-out area and furniture. Parking (2 cars). Cycle store. Welcome pack. No smoking. Friday to Friday.

Fabulous location with many lovely circular walks straight from the door. Our short break was to recharge our batteries and Townsend Cottage provided a warm, peaceful, comfortable environment to do just that.   4. We had a lovely time here. The owner was very friendly and helpful and the cottage was comfy. We did miss being able to walk to a footpath and let the dog off for a good romp - all the walks were further away than expected considering how rural the area was. Both pubs were dog friendly though which helped! Aug 2012.
