This holiday cottage is cosy enough for two, yet spacious enough for families or groups of friends to enjoy. Ideally located in the tranquil village of Priddy in the very heart of the Mendip Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, it is close to Cheddar Gorge, Wookey Hole, the cathedral city of Wells, Glastonbury (abbey, tor and alternative shops), Street (home to Clark’s Retail Village), Frome and Shepton Mallet, and a little further away the city attractions of Bath and Bristol and the north Somerset coast. Downstairs the cottage offers a dog and boot room with direct access outside to a small enclosed garden, a comfortable sitting room featuring a stone fireplace, a second living /dining room, a large farmhouse kitchen and direct access to a small enclosed front garden with patio, all ensuring a homely atmosphere. Nearby activities include rambling, dog walking and hill trekking, with nearby long distance footpaths include West Mendip Way, Monarch’s Way, Limestone Link plus stunning hill walking, cycling (cottage is adjacent to NCN 3), mountain biking in the Mendip Hills, horse riding, caving and potholing (numerous adventure caves available), climbing and bird watching (especially on the Somerset Levels). M5 motorway 30 minutes, railway station 35 minutes and Bristol airport 30 minutes. Shop 20 yards (summer season), farm shop 200 yards, pub and restaurant 500 yards.

Ground floor: Living room with sofa bed. Second living/dining room. Kitchen with breakfast area. First floor: 2 double (5ft) bedrooms (one zip and link, can be twin), one with additional fold-up single (for child, for alternative sleeping). Bathroom with shower over bath and toilet.

Woodburner in living room (initial fuel included). Oil central heating, oil, electricity and gas £25per week in summer, £35per week in winter, £5 per night for short breaks, all year. Bed linen and towels included. Freeview TV. TV recorder. DVD. Stereo/CD. Gas cooker. Oil range cooker. Microwave. Washing machine. Fridge/freezer. Wi-fi.
