Property Description

Adjoining the owner’s home, this Grade II listed farmworkers’ cottage has been renovated, retaining much original character, with some exposed stonework and beams. Tastefully decorated it enjoys views over the Worth Valley with its steam railway, and the town of Keighley with excellent shopping centre and leisure pool with slide. The Worth Valley Railway is Britain’s only and last surviving complete branch line railway, used in many films including the Railway Children. Damems Station is the smallest working station in England. A quiet peaceful spot making a good holiday base for visiting Haworth, Brontë Country and the Dales. Late shop ½ mile, pub 2 miles.

This property is close to the 2014 Tour de France route, come and experience the spectacular scenery for yourself and follow in the trail of some true cycling legends.

  4. Our hosts were so friendly and nothing would have been to much trouble. The cottage was everything we thought a cottage would be and equipped much better than we are at home. Very quiet location. Even though backed by a housing estate we saw no one but our hosts.The weather was not warm enough to sit outside and enjoy the view of the fields and moors from the front of the house. One wish would have been we’d picked a cottage in the Dales. Shame our Geography so poor! May 2012.

This is a truly lovely place to stay, with a wonderful ambiance and just about every little thing you’d need during a stay in a holiday home - from scissors and bathroom cleaners to DVDs and children’s toys. The owners clearly have amassed enormous expertise, during the 23 years the cottage has been a holiday home, in ensuring their guests are happy and well cared for. April 2012.

  16. An ideal property for dogs (we took 3 and had no problems at all). The garden is easily accessible from the front of the cottage and very safe as the cottage is away from the main road. Oct 2008.
  17. This quaint cottage had everything we needed for our holiday and had wonderful views.The owners were both friendly and helpful. We took part in the 1940’s weekend in nearby Haworth which we thoroughly enjoyed too. May 2009.
  18. Did all the searching and booking on the web but when a problem arose, helpful staff rang me and sorted it efficiently and in a very friendly way. The cottage was a home from home, I have never been in a holiday cottage with so much thought for details, eg. kitchen equipment. My stay was a combined break/working trip and really worked out well. My landlady was delightful and we even had the excitement of an attempted break in just before my arrival so all good fun. We are defintitely booking through you again. The 4 nights for the price of 3 was a good offer for that time of year. Feb 2006.
  19. For such a small cottage the facilities were better than anything we have had before. The kitchen was so well equipped we couldn’t believe it. There were so many little details that had been thought of it was amazing. Aug 2006.
