Property Description

Set within the pretty village of Three Crosses in the Gower Peninsula; the first designated area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the U.K., you’ll find the lovely ‘Tirmynydd Farm Cottage’. This charming 200 year old detached cottage standing in its own extensive grounds enjoys beautiful country views towards Cefn Bryn. The cottage has recently been completely renovated offering modern facilities, including gas central heating throughout and free wireless internet access, whilst retaining its old charm and character. The cottage sleeps up to 9 people offering flexible holiday accommodation for large parties or extended family groups. With a ground floor bedroom and bathroom including a walk-in shower, this cottage is also ideal for the elderly or disabled holidaymaker. The lounge is large welcoming and cosy with a beamed ceiling, gas fire and comfy chairs. There is a complimentary selection of books, DVDs and board games providing the perfect ingredients for cosy evenings in. The well equipped kitchen offers everything you’ll need during your stay from a dishwasher to an electric coffee percolator, from a microwave to a slow cooker. The large Dining Room seating up to 9 people plus a high chair, is ideal for large family gatherings, it also has a flat screen TV. There’s a small boot room off the kitchen for storage of coats, outdoor boots etc. The ground floor bedroom has 2 single beds, and a TV, Digital Receiver and DVD. The family bathroom with bath, wash hand basin, toilet and separate walk-in ‘wet room’ style shower is also situated on the ground floor, making both ideally suited to the disabled or elderly person. Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms. The first bedroom has one double bed, one single and a travel cot, the second bedroom has a double bed and the third bedroom has two singles. There is also a cloakroom with WC, wash hand basin and a separate airing cupboard on the first floor. Outside, the fully enclosed 2/3rds of an acre garden offers easy level access and ample parking for a maximum of 10 cars. It is comprised of formal lawns, mature shrubs and pretty potted plants. There is a walkway to the side of the garden linked to ‘The Gower Way Walk’ with a ‘kissing gate’ at either end, with direct access onto Gower’s extensive public footpath network. The large garden also has patio areas with picnic tables, wooden benches and other garden furniture and a rotary washing line. Garden games such as a cricket set are supplied too. Indeed everything you could wish for to have fun and dine alfresco on those hot summer evenings is supplied. The new double garage has been divided internally into two separate spaces, one of which is for the use of visitors. It houses the washing machine, tumble drier, BBQ and coals, along with additional outdoor furniture and games. It also offers secure storage for bicycles, golf clubs, surf boards, etc. The old cowstall and stable are not accessible. So with a welcome pack of tea, coffee, fresh milk, Welsh cakes and flowers waiting for you on your arrival, Tirmynydd Farm Cottage is an ideal retreat for that perfect holiday and would suit either a 3 generation or extended family, or a group of friends. It offers a total relaxation or an action packed holiday with many activities close at hand including walking, golfing, surfing, cycling and horse riding. The Gower offers many magnificant beaches; Rhossili,Three Cliffs, Langland, Oxwich, Horton and Port Eynon being just a few that have acquired both national and International recognition.

Ground Floor: The property has gas central heating and comprises:
Lounge: with Freeview TV, DVD, Video and Radio/CD and free Internet Access; a cosy and well presented room with beams, gas fire and ample soft seating. A small library of books and board games are provided.
Dining Room: with dining table and chairs seating 9. A high chair is also provided. Coal effect gas fire, wall mounted TV and radio/cassette player.
Kitchen: with electric cooker and 4 ring electric hob, microwave, larder fridge, freezer, dishwasher, slow cooker and electric coffee percolator.
Boot Room: with storage space for Coats, shoes and boots.
Bathroom: with bath, ‘wet room’ style shower to one side, WC and wash basin.
Bedroom 4: with 2 single 3ft beds and TV, digital receiver and DVD.

First Floor: Bedroom 1: with double bed and single 3ft bed and travel cot

Enclosed gardens surrounding the cottage extending to 2/3rds of an acre, comprises formal lawns to front, sides and rear with an additional meadow area. Patio area, outdoor furniture, BBQ. There is a public footpath leading down one side of the garden with two ’kissing gates’, which leads directly onto ’The Gower Way’. Parking for up to 10 cars. This property is 5 miles from the nearest beach. This property is Wheelchair Accessible.

If this happens, you will be responsible for cancellation charges (as shown in our main brochure or our website) including any deferred Booking Fee, Personal Travel Insurance and Ferry crossings that you have chosen to buy, all of which must be paid immediately..
