A stay at The West Wing of Capheaton Hall gives visitors an opportunity to experience a taste of country life in the finest form. This magnificent, Grade I listed country house, set in landscaped parkland, is a memorable holiday experience for special times shared with family or friends. An ideal property and location for house parties, family get togethers or sporting activities. Capheaton Hall has been in the Swinburne family since the 13th century, and the owner has painstakingly restored The West Wing to provide a luxurious holiday home for up to 8 guests. Decorated in an elegant country house style, the spacious accommodation includes delightful antiques and objets d’art, Kilim rugs, original artwork and unusual Turkish bedspreads. The property also has spacious living areas, high ceilings and large windows to admire the views over the landscaped park. The cosy kitchen diner is ideal for informal suppers, whilst the formal dining room is ideal for that special celebration meal. The elegant living room, with original feature fireplace, is ideal for soaking up the history of this magnificent property. Outside, make the most of the breathtaking park area for cycling and horse riding. Guests have their own private terrace with outside dining area, leading to a rectangular pond lined with irises and lilies, then out onto a large lawned area, and are welcome to explore the estate, including the fabulous kitchen garden, park, woodland walks and lake. An on-site tennis court is available for the more energetic visitor. Two well-behaved dogs are also catered for. A homemade meal delivery or a private cook for special occasions is also available. The accommodation is arranged with guest’s privacy in mind, therefore guests have their own private parking area and entrance. Capheaton is in the centre of Northumberland and is well placed to explore the stunning countryside. In one direction are the Cheviots, which are set in the Northumberland National Park and are a walker’s paradise, or drive over to the coast, where miles of golden sandy beaches and castles await. Enjoy some kite surfing, explore the rock pools or even take a boat trip to the Farne Islands to spot puffins or seals. Golf is abundant around the county, try out Slaley Hall, Maften Hall or the dramatic links on the coast at Dunstanburgh or Bamburgh. Shop and pub 5 miles.

If this happens, you will be responsible for cancellation charges (as shown in our main brochure or our website) including any deferred Booking Fee, Personal Travel Insurance and Ferry crossings that you have chosen to buy, all of which must be paid immediately..
