Property Description

Whirlpool bath and four poster beds, and sauna (in CV33)

Common Moor is an area of Bodmin Moor bounded by the River Fowey, with beautiful riverside and woodland walks at Golitha Falls, to the west. To the north is pre-historic moorland with stone circles, burial stones, stone age settlements and 18th and 19th century tin mining buildings. Walking, fishing, windsurfing, dinghy sailing and canoeing are just some of the activities that can be found at nearby Siblyback Lake. Both north and south coasts with their rugged coastlines and golden beaches are easily reached as are well known gardens such as the Eden Project and many NT properties. Liskeard, 5 miles, has a choice of shops, restaurants and leisure centre, whilst local pubs offer good value services. Both properties are situated in the small, quiet and peaceful hamlet of Common Moor and offer a very good standard of holiday accommodation with their own private gardens and offer the ideal resting place for visting Cornwall. After an enjoyable day why not relax in your own whirlpool bath, or if you are in The Warren, have a sauna and whirlpool bath!

All on ground floor: Living/dining room with beams. Kitchen. 1 double (four poster) bedroom. Bathroom with whirlpool bath, shower cubicle and toilet.

Oil central heating, electricity and bed linen included. Cot. Video. DVD. Electric cooker. Microwave. 24hr laundry service available. Enclosed garden and furniture. Barbecue. Parking. Pets free of charge. No smoking.

Customer Comments

Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. Very accommodating little cottage. The 80’s decor etc was cosy and comfortable and we enjoyed the warm hospitality. Separate whirl bath and shower with plenty of hot water was most welcome and there was nothing to complain about at all. Even the cat made himself at home straight away and had a safe wander about outside. Staying there made a wet weekend in the floods a doddle. Nov 2012.
  2. Overall the accommodation was really good. The lovely surprise in the fridge was delicious. June 2012.
  3. Ideal for 2 people and a small dog. May 2012.
  4. A great little cottage to use as a base and a very nice welcome which includes a vase off flower’s and a great cream tea on arrival. Nov 2011.
  5. As an amateur photographer I found the location very good. There are plenty of photo opportunities in the immediate area, such as Golitha Falls, the moor with various standing stones and you are not far from the North and South coasts. Nov 2011.
  6. The cottage was lovely and in a very quiet location. We knew the owner was at hand if we needed him but he wasn’t intrusive and allowed us to get on with our holiday. The garden was ideal for the dogs and we appreciated the scones and the little touch with fresh flowers. Another excellent choice cottage, highly recommended. Sept 2011.
  7. Lovely clean property in a peaceful location, very picturesque. Easy to travel to other locations. Would defintly stay again. March 2011.
  8. Very cosy and homely, was exactly what we were looking for. Feb 2011.
  9. Good central position for visiting locations on both north and south coasts as well as the Moor itself. June 2010.
  10. It was clean and well set out. The furniture was of good quality and it had all we wanted. June 2010.
  11. The bungalow is situated in a nice quiet location but within easy reach of many areas of Cornwall. To have an enclosed garden was absolutely ideal, having 3 dogs. The bungalow is well equipped and we didn’t want for anything. Would recommend to friends. May 2010.
  12. Room sizes and layout very good, excellent bathroom and nice garden. April 2010.
  13. The accommodation was lovely, and perfect for a Guide Dog. The owners of the property were extremely nice and made us welcome from the time we arrived until the time we left. March 2010.
  14. A very good location for exploring cornwall with our dogs Sept 2009.
  15. Clean, cosy and dog friendly accommodation, would return. Sept 2009.
